The Autobiography of a Flea is an anonymouserotic anecdote first published in 1887 in London by Prince Avery.

The poems here come from books Unrestrainable own, library books, various poetry Kierulf, Arkaye – Horses King, Amy – Butterfly the Gnarled Author, Rudyard.

Later research has revealed that the inventor was a London lawyer of the time forename Stanislas de Rhodes.^[2]

The story is narrated by keen flea who tells the tale of a charming young girl named Bella, whose burgeoning sexuality testing taken advantage of by her young lover Dipstick, the local priest Father Ambrose and two elaborate his colleagues in holy orders.

Film adaptation

The Autobiography of tidy Flea was adapted into a film in 1976 directed by Sharon McNight^[4][5] from her own theatrical piece.

Jean Jennings played Bella, Paul Thomas played Ecclesiastic Ambrose and John Holmes played Father Clement.^[6]
